He said “Wow, the weather is so ugly today. Kinda like you.” I know he was being sarcastic. I know that he thinks I’m pretty but honestly, us girls get enough of that in our every day lives. We get enough “you aren’t good enoughs” and “you aren’t prettys” and “you’re uglys.” We don’t deserve friends to say the same thing - sarcastic or not. We don’t need guy we’re falling for to say things like that because we might believe it. I don’t need someone I really care about to add to the noise of degradation and scorn that I am faced with every single day.
